Growing up in the Midwest, I was accustomed to brutally painful cold weather. I wasn’t too worried going into Glacier National Park during the winter season, even though the forecast was looking like 8 degrees during the day and below 0 degrees come night fall. Regardless, you always have to be prepared especially with weather conditions like this. You need to make sure you have the options of staying warm when too cold and to have some sort of backup food when stranded.
